1  Arrange and update your pantry

You will be amazed how last year's food is still there in our pantry. Make sure to check the expiration dates and throw the expired ones. One good tip is to put the oldest one first in front. First in, first out!

Ensure that you buy for basic and food with long shelf-life such as oils, dried fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and spreads. Also, don’t forget your salt and spices for taste.

Also, drinking water is needed in case of flooding or frozen pipes.

5  Try video recording

Video recording captures good memories to share to your loved ones. May it be birthday, new bathroom or lockdown haircut! Whatever home celebration or activities you are going to share, it is worth sharing in the end.

Well, there's so many natural disasters now from flooding to volcano actively spewing lava to arctic winter conditions so maybe your newfound hobby will be handy for experts in the furure to add more evidences in their studies. However, think of your safety first!

2  Prepare for the future

I was talking before about preparing for your future holidays but now I think you need to shift your mind in preparing for the  future.

There are so many tips about financial preparation but not so much with food and accessories. What if there is no electricity, how will you feed the family? Do you have enough preserved food or vegetables in your garden? Good for people with good barbecue facility, wood burner and fireplace that utilises wood/charcoal still, they can cook and warm themselves there.

6  Exercise daily

Either you do it on your own or watch a fitness instructor, it is good to do daily exercises for good ciculation and increase mental capacity.

You must do something useful with your exercises so that it is not boring or the same all the time. Why don't you change your walking route? For the athletic train for marathon to raise funds for our heroes.

3  Try cooking foods that  you never tried cooking

before

Are you like the rest of  us who wants to try new things . It does not matter if you are a good cook or a novice. All you need are cooking utensils and a handy recipe book. In my case, my friend gave recipe book last Christmas and this is the best time to explore on new recipes.

Of course, don't forget to ask your Mum/Mom and other loved ones because they will have many good recipes to share to you if you want one.

7 Prepare something practical for future uncertainties

Initially, we're all struggling with COVID 19 and how to tackle it. Once we've created a little hygiene station to put alcohol gel/wipes, soaps, water, basin, rubbish bag, laundry bag, and space for shoes, we know that we have something in place in our household to safeguard our family's health.

And recently,  we are thinking of enhancing our food and lifestyle preparations by buying gadgets ot tools to prepare for any uncertainties (such as blackouts, storms, earthquakes and other natural disasters). Prepare, prepare...

Story Book

4  Read books or create an ebook

This is for people who likes to finish the book that they had started long time ago or for people wanting to chill out and get transported into the world of facts or fictions.

Or create an ebook! The world is your oyster now. With more ideas and time in your hand, you can create a small online booklet especially on your area of expertise.

8 Add colour to your life

Yes, colourful things are mood-lifter. Start with your scarf, tie or socks! It should not be limited to your wardrobe but extend to home accessories or gadgets. In my case, I start buying colourful flowers and do flower-arranging. So what will make you happy then go for it!

Additionally, add colour to your food because it's adding more nutrients in your cellls.  Vital nutrients is necessary in combating external and internal toxins entering your body.
